Hello everyone 🙂
There have been some changes happening in my life lately, the most prominent one being a change of sponsor school! After some juggling, I am now in a new school and a new class, grade 2/3! I am very excited to meet my brand new kiddos next week, as well as a new mentor teacher! Flexibility and adaptability are two very desirable qualities in a teacher, and I am ready for the change!
Another change happening in my world is school is coming to an end
hallelujah darn 😦 😉 This upcoming week is our last as University students and I think I speak for most of my colleagues when I say that it is a relief to be done. This has been a packed semester and we are ready to start planning for our practicum and submersing ourselves in our sponsor schools! 2014 is going to be an exciting year for us ETEP 2’s 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, I’ll post again next week after I’ve met my new class!
It’s been quite a while since I’ve last posted, my how time flies!
This year, I have been placed in a GRADE ONE class! I am very excited to get to know the primary side of teaching and learn how each student starts out in school. So far, I have had 3 visits and I must say, the difference between grade 4/5 and grade 1 is massive!! It’s an entirely different teaching style and I get to learn from the best. I truly can’t wait to be knee deep in it with these 6 year olds.
University is almost done for us, we have about 3 weeks left, and I could not be happier. It’s been a long time coming, and the most exciting part for me – and my parents, I’m sure! – is that I won’t have to save for tuition next year, hallelujah!
Right now, I am focusing on finishing up my assignments and getting through to December. Then it’s unit planning, Christmas music and family time!
Thanks for checking in, I’ll be posting more regularly in the new year when things pick up 🙂
